Am I a candidate for the hair transplant surgery?

If you are a man or a woman suffering any of the following, you are a candidate for the hair transplant procedure:

Loss of hair in front i.e. Hair line
Recession at the Temple area
More extensive hair loss on the top and crown area

How are the hair transplants done?

Hair Follicle Transplant is a "State of The Art" hair transplant procedure. This procedure creates the highest level of naturalness that is not possible with any other hair transplant procedure.

In this Hair Follicle Transplant Surgery, a strip of skin along with the hair follicles is taken from the donor area (back or side of the scalp of the patient). It is then cut in single or multiple sets of grafts, the hair follicles are then grafted into the bald areas depending on the growth, directions & required density of the hair in that area.

Since the hair transplanted in one's own hair, it has the same genetic structure and the transplanted hair will grow as fast as before and will stay as long as that particular hair from the donor site area. How long will it take to perform the hair transplantation?

What results can I expect from hair transplants?

With the experience and artistry of our surgeons who have performed thousands of hair transplantations you will achieve a very natural result. The hair normally starts to grow gradually around three months until ultimately taking on the exact thickness and characteristics of your other hair.

The crusts gradually comes off in about 3 weeks
Stitches of donor site either get dissolved or can be removed after 10 days by any doctor near your place.
Some or even most transplanted hair may shed in 3-4 weeks time along with some non grafted hair (Telogen effluvium- which is more common in females) but the roots remain live and active under the skin and the new hair grow from them in 3-4 months time
It may take 8 to 18 months for the full growth of the growing hair. Not all hair start growing at the same time some remain ahead of other. Not only those initial hairs are thinner which with time achieve thickness, as they grow longer. The growth rate of the grafted hair is usually over 90 %.

How long is the recovery period from hair transplant surgery?

There is no recovery time necessary after hair transplantation surgery.

Are there any after effects from the hair transplant surgery?

Apart from some initial soreness after the treatment there are no real side effects of this procedure.

Can I combine other procedures with hair transplant surgery?

Any treatments may be combined with hair transplants. This is a popular procedure with men; many past patients have combined other male procedures to improve the overall effect.
